Southern Mindanao Integrated Coastal Zone Management Project
Project Sites in Region XI:
- Malalag Bay, Davao del Sur
- Balasiao Waetrshed, Kibalwan, Davao del Sur
Specifically, the project aims to:
- integrate the management of a coastal & watershed ecosystem in the project sites
- undertake activities that will sustain resource and environmental management while allowing development in the area;
- improve the quality of life of beneficiaries and stakeholders considering the available resources;
- institutionalize the use of integrated management approach vis-à-vis carrying capacity of the area; and, develop capability of LGUs and stakeholders in the planning and sustainable management of natural resources and environment.
