DA-DAR-DENR Convergence Program For Rural Sustainable Development
Formalized and implemented through JMC No. 1 series of 1999.
Goals:
- Develop appropriate technologies
- Establish processing facilities
- Mobilize resources
- Upgrade people capabilities
- Realign government and private institutional arrangements
Achievements:
- 9 Convergence sites identified nationwide
- Pilot site for Region XI is Nabunturan, Compostela Valley
- Mainit Hotspring Protected Landscape was officially indorsed by Nabunturan Mayor Macario Humol last 29
- November 2005 as the pilot project site for the convergence initiative.
- The three government agencies are actively pursuing the implementation of the convergence program in the Mainit Hotpsring.
