Mining Rights Granted
There are currently 33,804.38 hectares of land covered by approved mining tenements, namely:
- 12 Mineral Prod’n Sharing Agreements(MPSA)
- 1 Exploration Permit (EP)
- 11 Mining Lease Contracts/Lode Lease Contracts
- 1 ISAG
Economic Potential Of The Mining Industry
- There are currently 4 large-scale mineral development projects with the potential to generate foreign direct investments of US$ 1.734 Million, additional 9,500 direct and indirect employment.
- These projects have an estimated total potential annual revenue of US$ 654 Million
- These projects are expected to contribute substantially to the socio-economic development of communities, local governments, and to the country, in general.
- An effective instrument in poverty alleviation in the countryside
