Regional Profile - Jurisdiction Jurisdiction 
The Region's five (5) cities are Davao City as major city and Tagum City, Island Garden City of Samal, Panabo City and Digos City as the component cities . Its four (4) provinces are Davao Oriental, Davao del Norte, Compostela Valley and Davao del Sur covering a total of 1,158 barangays under forty three (43) municipalities and eleven (11) Congressional Districts. It has a total land area of 1,967,183 hectares which equates to approximately 7% of the total land area of the Philippines. (Table 2 - Land Area by Province/City)
DENR Region Xl has jurisdiction over four (4) Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Offices (PENROs) and thirteen (13) Community Environment and Natural Resources Offices (CENROs) strategically located in each province and in the different municipalities of the Region.
