CENRO NABUNTURAN LAUNCH “TREES FOR LIFE PROJECT”

663 seedlings of Narra, Lauan and Bamboo species were planted on a 1-hectare portion of Brgy. Bukal, Nabunturan during the recent “Trees For Life Project” launching in the area.

Community Environment and Natural Resources (CENR) Officer Marvin D. Parilla disclosed that Barangay Bukal is located within the Mainit National Park which was converted into Mainit Hot Spring Protected Landscape by virtue of Proclamation No. 32 series of 2000.

Under the “Trees For Life Project”, seven hectares of the National Park will be planted with trees by PENRO/CENRO Nabunturan together with representatives from NGOs, NGAs, Academe, Religious Sector, Civic and People’s Organization.

“The support and participation of these sectors will surely enable us to reforest the target area”, Parilla added.
